From the 1st week of last period to
the 13th week called first
trimester i.e. first three months of pregnancy. By the end of third month
baby is already formed now baby has to grow. After third month you can share
this good news with your friends and relatives.
Third Month of Pregnancy
Changes in your body
You will feel much tiredness in the third month of
pregnancy. Growing baby is hard work.
At this time you will see slight rounding in your abdomen;
this is because your uterus is now the size of grapefruit. It is possible you
will notice a small baby bomb but for every mom there may be slight difference
in timing of its visibility.
By the end of this period you will notice weight gain approx
2 kg. But with some women because of vomiting there may be weight loss so don’t
worry. You will feel heaviness in breast. Now the chance of miscarriage is
gone.
Baby Development
By the end of this month, baby is fully formed. Your baby’s arms, hand, finger, feet and toes formed. Baby can open and close its fists and mouth.
Baby’s reproductive organs also develop. The livers produce bile. Even
by this time, it is difficult to distinguish the gender of the baby in
ultrasound.
Baby’s length is almost 4 inches and its weight is about 28 gm.
Symptoms

Increase in Energy
At this time nausea
and vomiting almost gone. But in some women it last for 9 month. You feel
energetic. You start getting hungry.

Frequent urination
Because of increased amount of blood flow, kidney needs to
produce extra fluid, which then ends up in bladder so frequent urination is
common in pregnancy.

Increase in vaginal discharge

Change in skin pigmentation
5.
Headache
6.
Dizziness
7.
Veins are visible
8.
Sleep disturbance
Some points to remember
1.
Take variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins,
probiotics and whole grains into your diet to maintain healthy pregnancy.
2.
Take those supplements which are prescribed by
doctor. Calcium and iron supplement will starts from second trimester.
4.
Third month of pregnancy is most tiring so take
a lot of rest.
5.
As told in previous pregnancy post doesn’t lift
heavy weight.
6.
Cut down the caffeine intake.
7.
Indulge in activities that make you happy and feel good.
8.
It should be good to wear comfortable cloths.
9.
During pregnancy, excessive heat is produced in
the body, so water should be drunk from time to time.
