Skin care for Vata People
Home remedy for Premature Aging
As the name suggested Vata people displays the inherent
characteristics of ‘wind’.
The vata people’s hair, nail and skin are usually dry and
rough. Since vata dosha causes dryness by wringing the oil out of the skin,
muscles and joint.
Skin care for vata people includes eating well, exercising, protecting
the skin from sun, maintaining healthy digestion and resting adequately.
Here are some tips for vata people skin care in which
ingredients are used that counteract the effect of vata.
Cleaning
Almond powder (1 tablespoon)
Milk (1 tablespoon)
Honey (1/4 teaspoon)
Mix well and apply on damp face. Gently wash.
You can also apply this mixture on all over body.
Massage
Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
Lemon juice (1/2 tablespoon)
Mix both and massage the face gently for 5 minute.
Steam
Steam the face for 2 to 5 minutes .For steaming any steamer
can be used. If you don’t have steamer, use a pot filled with water boil it and
remove from heat .cover your head with towel and steam the face from
appropriate distance from pot.
Cleaning Mask and Nourishing Mask
Remedy 1
Fuller’s earth (4 parts)
Aloe vera juice (2 parts)
Honey (1 part)
Almond oil or vitamin E (few drops)
Mix well, apply on your face and neck, leave for 10-20
minutes then wash.
Remedy 2
Almond powder (1 tablespoon)
Fresh cream (1 tablespoon)
Lemon juice (1/4 teaspoon)
Make a thick paste and apply your entire face and neck,
leave for 15-20 minute then wash with lukewarm water, using fingertips in
circular motion massage the face. This mask also acts as good exfoliate,
leaving the skin refresh and radiant.
Note:
Toning:
The best toner for vata skin is
rosewater mixed with a few drops of vitamin E oil.
Moisturizing
Daytime moisturizer
Honey (1 tablespoon)
Vitamin E oil(1/2 tablespoon )
Mix well and apply on face and neck, leave for 20 minutes
then wash.
Nighttime moisturizer
Apply ghee on all over face giving special care the area
around eye (because tissues here have no oil glands), leave over night. In
morning wash off with lukewarm water.
Note: If you have
allergy from vitamin E oil, use almond oil instead of.
